In September will be held the International Ceramics’17 Festival in Mino, Japan. The Theme of this year is From You, From Now, From Here.

It is a triennale held at Mino, close to Nagoya, since 1986. It is the major production area of ceramics in Japan, that carries more than 1000 years of history. This is one of the world biggest ceramic festivals that features various events.

Will be held also The 11th International Ceramic Competition. This is an international competition which aims to promote the further development of ceramic industry and culture through international exchanges of ceramic designs and culture. Outstanding works that suggest innovative ideas and explore the future of ceramics coming from all over Japan and the world will be displayed all together.

The last award winners have been Toshiharu Yoshimura (Kyoto) for the Ceramics Design Grand Prix and Kenji Gomi (Naha, Okinawa) for the Ceramics Art Grand Prix.
